Lake Crescent Pinnacle

The Lake Crescent Pinnacle is actually a small mountain located smack dab in the middle of the lake. At one of the lake’s deepest spots, measuring about 400 feet deep, this peak reaches within 85 feet of the surface. Our mission was to film the large volcanic boulder that was sitting at the end of a very long trough. The trough was formed, some believe, by that boulder being attached to a glacier that calved and floated along the forming lake until it grounded itself on the pinnacle.
